‘Facet’ sofa by Folke Jansson, Sweden 1957

Rare 'Facet' Sofa by Folke Jansson for S.M. Wincrantz Möbelindustri AB, Skövde Sweden 1957. Very rare model of which only eight copies where produced as a jubileum model. This one of the eight first productions from 1957. Very radical design especially for that time and for the Swedish design tradition. The sofa is completely restored; we preserved the original spring cords but tightened them and used new foam. For the upholstery we choose a neutral 100% soft woolen fabric to make a nice contrast with the hard graphic lines. The sofa can best be used as a daybed. Wonderful and highly collectible piece in excellent condition.
