Marble and Bronze Sculpture by Huib Noorlander, 1970s

Large and imposing marble sculpture by Huib Noorlander (1928 -2004), Holland, 1970s. Noorlander studied at the Rotterdam Academy of Arts. Noorlander worked in different materials, mostly in bronze and marble. This sculpture is made of Belgian black marble and stands on a solid bronze pedestal. Wonderful strong but friendly freeform with an ornately carved hole in the shape of a navel. In excellent condition.
